Bio: The Victorian Roller Derby League (VRDL) is a roller derby league based in Melbourne, Victoria. Founded in 2007. The VRDL contains four teams: the Dead Ringer Rosies, The Dolls of Hazzard (formally Dolls Au-Go-Go), the Toxic Avengers and the newest team Rock Mobsters. They also feature two teams, the VRDL All Stars, and Queen Bees, who compete in interleague competitions within Australia and internationally.

The VRDL is a non-profit women’s Flat Track Roller Derby League in Melbourne, with over 100 members and some of the best skaters, coaches and refs in the country. Coaches focus on developing roller derby skills and confidence as a skater.
Sessions generally include the following:
- minimum skills: stops, falls, jumps, proper skating technique (cross-over and form).
-Various drills: aimed to improve control, speed, agility, balance and confidence when skating close to others. This may include pace lines, pair-work and pack work.

-General fitness: cardio endurance (interval training including skipping, sprints, footwork), strength (squats, push ups, body bridge/plank, core work) and stretching.
-Rules and tactics: rules and game play basics.

All skaters are required to bring the following to a Crew session:
*quad skates
*elbow pads
*wrist guards
*knee pads
When: Sundays 12-2pm
Where: VRDL training facility, Preston
Cost: $35 upfront payment for 3 sessions.
