The facilities include four outdoor shooting range sections, a large indoor air pistol range, a substantial clubhouse including a kitchen - bar and a large car park. There are four events that make up the match using static and moving targets and also over various distances. All series start with the pistol holstered.

Action Match:
The pistols are a minimum of 9mm in calibre. Most shooter's use .38-.357 calibre in either revolver or automatic. These pistols can be fitted with optical red dot sights.

I.P.S.C (Practical):
(International Practical Shooting Confereration) involves completing a number of Stages. Each stage is different in the number of shots, traget placement and shooting positions, the vast majority of pistols used are semi automatic, though there is a revolver division.

I.C.O.R.E:
(International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts) combines elements of the Bianchi Cup, IPSC, and the Steel Challenge into demanding competition exclusively for revolvers.

Free Pistol:
Uses a .22 Calibre single shot long barrelled pistol usually with orthopaedic grips and a very light trigger. This is a high precision match of 60 shots over a distance of 50 metres and takes just over 2 hours to complete.

Air Pistol:
Competitors use .177 calibre pistols to fire lead pellets at targets 10 meters away. The bullseye has a 11.5mm 10-ring, with the entire target being just 15cm across. Men take 60 shots in 1 hour and 45 minutes, while women have 1 hour and 15 minutes for 40 shots.

Rapid Fire:
Two rounds of 30 shots (in six series of five shots each) are fired at a target 25 metres away. The first two series must be completed within a time of 8 seconds each; the second two within 6 seconds each; and the last two within 4 seconds.

Center Fire:
Uses a .32 or .38 calibre semi automatic or revolver pistol. A 60 shot match with 6 series of 5 shots in 5 minutes then 6 series of 5 shots where the target faces the competitor for 3 seconds where 1 shot is fired, the target turns away for 7 seconds this process is repeated until 5 shots are fired in each series.

Standard Pistol:
Uses a .22 calibre semi automatic pistol. A 60 shot match with 4 series of 5 shots in 150 seconds, 4 series of 5 shots in 20 seconds and 4 series of 5 shots in 10 seconds. All shot over a distance of 25 meters.

Service Match:
Uses 'centre fire' pistols (.38, .357 calibre) to shoot this competition. 90 shots are fired in various time sequences over four distances i.e. 50, 25, 10 and 7 yards.
