Bio: Collingwood Harriers has a wide range of facilities to suit athletes running needs 10 minutes drive from Melbourne CBD. The club has a new synthetic track equipped for all the disciplines of athletics. The club offers well experienced coaches for all events. Collingwood Harriers is situated on Heidelberg Rd, close to Yarra Bend Park where we run numerous club competitions during the winter.

Collingwood Harriers caters for athletes of all ages and standards giving opportunity to compete at the highest level in both summer and winter fixtures run by Athletics Victoria as well as providing club events.

Collingwood Harriers the most successful cross-country club in Australia having fielded teams in 13 divisions during the 2009 Winter Cross Country season, including at the 40+ and 50+ levels.

The club's summer track and field teams compete in the Eastern Region which boasts the largest number of competitors in any summer competition in Australia. All events are catered for and elite athletes to progress to State and National competitions.

Club Training:
Tuesday night Track and Field Training
Conducted each Tuesday night from 4:30pm

Certified Collingwood Harriers coaches conduct track and field training sessions every Tuesday from 6.00. Level 1 Accredited Athletics coach Troy Kameme is on hand to conduct these formal, yet fun training sessions. All members of the public are welcome.

Pole vault training:
Conducted Tuesdays from 5:30 till 7:00pm by level 2 jumps coach Christopher Boylen. No previous experience needed. Beginners and experienced vaulters welcome.

Middle distance, Sprints and Throw's coaches are also on hand most Tuesday evenings before masters to assist athletes.

Thursday night Track Sessions:
Conducted each Thursday night from 7:00pm at the Track

Each Thursday night at 7pm a group of the Collingwood Harriers distance runners meet for a friendly, but structured session at the track. Sessions last about an hour and are arranged on the spot according to who is there and what their training plans are.

Training times may differ in times, days, venues and disciplines.
